The Cloud Security Readiness Tool helps assess your current IT environment with regard to systems, processes, and productivity so you can improve your IT investment and realize the potential of cloud computing. It’s designed to help you better understand your organization’s potential to stay agile with current compliance and regulation issues.
How it works:
The Cloud Security Readiness Tool is based on the Cloud Security Alliance’s (CSA) Cloud Control Matrix (CCM). A short survey seeks information about the maturity level of your current IT infrastructure and your organization’s industry. The Cloud Security Readiness Tool uses this information to provide relevant guidance to help you plan cloud adoption and understand business benefits, realize your organization’s cloud potential, and understand relevant control standards and organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 27001), Payment Card Industry (PCI), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Nitty Gritty Details:
The tool runs you through 27 questions about your organization policies on items ranging from configuration of time sources to how you respond to theft of a laptop. The tool creates a custom report based on the analyses of your organization policies in regards to security and compliance specific to your industry. It currently looks at Software As A Service (SAAS) but will soon add Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) and Platform As A Service (PAAS). Give the tool a run through and look at your report today!
