ms-office-logoYesterday the Microsoft Office Division announced that they have signed off on the RTM builds of the new Office. That means Office v.next has released to manufacturing. They went on to state that “This is our most ambitious release ever, with simultaneous releases of the Office 365 service, Office 2013 clients, SharePoint 2013, Exchange 2013, Lync 2013, Project 2013, and Visio 2013”

This is going to be an interesting year in technology. I expect to see a lot of change in the market  and a lot of change from Microsoft. Starting at the end of this month, our enterprise customers will be able to start deploying the new Office, and consumers who purchase a Windows 8 RT device will get Office Home & Student 2013 RT preinstalled on their new tablets. Customers will be able to purchase new devices with Windows 8 preinstalled. I expect to see a lot of new fangled gadgets like the Lenovo Yoga and the Nokia 920 that push the hardware market place to put out even better products.

One milestone in this next year I am really looking forward to is getting my hands on a Microsoft Surface RT tablet come October 26th. I will let you know how that goes.
