These new features include things like SMB2 and the ability to use a file server as the back end for your Hyper-v VHDs. That’s right you won’t need a SAN for running a Hyper-v Farm. There are a plethora of other features like Storage Duplication, Storage Thin Provisioning, Hyper-v Replica, Datacenter Bridging, Windows PowerShell 3.0 with workflows.
